Dive & Adventure, has opened the southern Caribbean's first
GUE/DIR training and logistics center on property.
For those who are not familiar, DIR (Doing It Right) training
brings a holistic approach to diving. Classes are taught
utilizing the GUE (Global Underwater Explorers) methodology,
which emphasizes teamwork, environmental awareness, and the use
of highly optimized and streamlined equipment configuration. The
DIR approach encompasses aspects of equipment choice and
configuration, diving procedures and techniques, and diver
fitness and preparedness.

Caribbean Gas Training is also the technical diving provider
for Bonaire Dive & Adventure, offering a full range of tank
rentals, gas fills and spare parts for your equipment. Caribbean
Gas Training fills Trimix for deep diving into well maintained
AL80 double tank systems as well as blends high in oxygen for
efficient decompression into sleek AL40 deco bottles.
Also available is an impressive array of
rental equipment along the lines of the time-tested DIR standard
for exploration grade equipment.
Being one of the few dive operators licensed to guide and
organize dives on the world-famous Mairi Bahn Wreck, aka "The
Windjammer", Caribbean Gas Training is proud of being able to
offer a sensational deep dive to qualified divers. This classic
tall sailing ship has been recently reopened for shore access
accompanied by a licensed guide. At 160-200 feet down, you will
see the cargo of the ship, liquid tar, spread out over the
seafloor, and plenty of surreal looking black coral species and
many other types of marine life not normally seen on shallower
dives.
