There isn’t one bad thing to say about this place.
The condos/property – The units are all condos with full kitchen. The ocean view rooms are spectacular, comfortable and very roomy. I’ve stayed in ocean front and in the condos in back. You won’t be disappointed with either. The property is clean and well maintained. Cleaning staff stops by every other day, and they are wonderful.
The resident restaurant is Breeze N Bites…if you don’t want to leave the property, you will be more than satisfied with the food served here. Happy Hour is BOGO on drinks, and the view from the restaurant is spectacular. It is an open setting with views of the ocean from practically every seat in the house. The food is delightful, thoughtfully prepared with special touches to everything you order, upscale but not pretentious at all. The chef, hosts and servers are all personable, attentive and service is on-point. We made friends with all of them during our week-long stay. They serve a tuna with pesto that is fresh and absolutely delicious. Baracuda straight from ocean, delicious salads, appetizers, etc. If you aren’t there for the food, the drinks and view will captivate you and make you cancel all of your other plans.
Bari Reef – Den Leman is right on the ocean, and has Bari Reef at it’s doorstep. The pier to Bari Reef is private and available only to the guests of Den Leman. Bari Reef is one of the best dives to check out while visiting Bonaire. There are a large variety of fish directly under the Pier and in the surrounding shallow water. The reef itself is teeming with life and a huge amount of fish. Tarpon and eel sometimes frequent the reef also. Look down into the water the minute you enter, and you will be welcomed by a variety of fish.
Staff – I can’t say enough about these folks. The hotel staff is friendly, accommodating, helpful and very responsive with any questions or help you need. The scuba shop folks are outstanding. They keep the gear, tanks, rinse tanks and pier in perfect order, and are always around to answer questions or help in any way. This is hands-down, one of my favorite operational staffs I have ever dealt with.
